Kris Jenner has rubbished a recent Page Six report that claimed a person close to Kourtney Kardashian’s ex as stating the Talentless founder has been “sort of excommunicated” by the family “since the priority” is her new husband, Travis Barker, in a rare social media comment.

“Scott will NEVER be excommunicated from our family,” Kris said in response to an Instagram post about the claim shared by the Paper magazine account, which was not the original source.

“He’s the father of my grandchildren and a special part of our family… we love him and it’s not true!” the matriarch stated.

Scott, who has three children with Kourtney – Mason Disick, 12, Penelope Disick, 10, and Reign Disick, 7 – has not come out publicly on the report.

It comes three months after she married Travis and roughly a year after Scott, who did not attend their wedding, and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family began filming their Hulu reality program The Kardashians, which debuted earlier this year.

A narrative line on the show was Scott’s new dynamic with the Kardashian-Jenner family with Travis’ inclusion as Kourtney’s companion. In the pilot, he expresses his disappointment at being excluded from her sister Khloe Kardashian’s festivities.

When questioned if he could deal with being around Kourtney and her then-boyfriend, he said, “I’d rather be with them and my family than not at all.” Scott reportedly informed Khloe, “All I want is to be noticed. Do I even have any meaning to anyone?”

Scott revealed in a confessional that he lost Kourtney “as a best friend” after she began dating Travis. “Now we’re truly just co-parents,” he explained. “I’d say it’s one of the more challenging things I’ve ever done.”

Scott eats lunch with Kris in another episode and tells her, “You don’t ask me to half the s—t you do anymore.” He also tells her that after his parents died, she told him he was her “blood-related son,” and she says she still feels that way. Scott then informs her that he does not want to go anyplace where he is not “welcome.” “You’re always wanted,” Kris responds.

Later in the episode, Kris is seen separately chatting to Kourtney, telling her that Scott has been feeling left out lately and that she is hesitant about inviting him to her birthday. She also expresses a desire for Travis to be at ease. Scott eventually shows up at the party, and Kourtney admits in a confessional that being in the same room with him is “not a horrible thing” and that it “will take time to actually find out what makes sense.”
