Nearly a week after deleting her Instagram profile, Britney Spears returned to Instagram to share a message for her children.

Reactivating her Instagram, the “Hold Me Closer” singer posted an emotional letter for her boys Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15 (whose father is her ex Kevin Federline). The statement came hours after the Daily Mail published a written sample from an upcoming documentary featuring her sons, their father, and his wife, Victoria.

Jayden spoke  about his relationship with his mother ahead of the film’s premiere, saying that their link “can be mended with time and work.” Britney has finally given in to her sons’ wishes. “I’ve done my best to be the best person I can be… to be effectively held hostage in homes by nurses and nonsense, “Britney said in an Instagram post on September 1 about her 13-year conservatorship. “I hope my kids understand my reasons one day,” she adds, adding to her son Jayden, “I send all the love in the world to you every day for the rest of my life!!!”

“My love for my children knows no bounds, and it greatly pains me to know his outcry of stating I wasn’t up to his standards as a mother, and perhaps one day we can meet face to face and talk about this freely!!!” she continued.

“I completely understand your urge to live with your father since I had to play the perfect role for 15 years for absolutely nothing,” Britney added.

The Grammy winner also mentioned her eldest son, Sean Preston, in her statement, emphasizing his passion for music and art. “I’m aware of your gift, Preston,” she wrote. “I know you’re a teacher in my life, and lovely child, I’m also a teacher to you!! It’s difficult to have your father be a hypocrite and claim the media is bad while having you talk about personal problems to them… I hope you can look in the mirror and remember you are and always will be my child. I’m sending my love because Preston didn’t say anything! Nothing would make me happier than to see you two face to face.”

“At the time, it just wasn’t the right time to go,” Jayden explained. “I’m not saying I’m not pleased for her. I’m pleased for them, but she didn’t invite the entire family, and if it was just me and Preston, I don’t see how the scenario could have concluded on good terms.” Jayden had a direct message for his mother during the sit-down, which will appear on September 2nd, despite the status of their relationship. “I love you a lot, and I wish you the best,” he said. “Perhaps one day we’ll be able to sit down like this and converse again.”
